At a young age, I watched Blade Runner. The visual spectacle of it created a burning passion inside me to pick up a camera and capture the world around me. Over the years, I discovered a love for the stories around me and have made it my life mission to share these real tales, big and small, with the world.
I attended the University of South Carolina to study in its journalism program. It was there that I engaged in “Senior Semester,” a four-month program involving the production of a daily newscast. I worked most of every day for those four months working on news stories or serving in a variety of production roles ranging from anchor to technical director and everything in between.
Talking to the people of my community and finding stories has taught me an important life lesson: everybody has a story to tell.
